BlackBox devices use a smart switching protocol that automatically selects the optimal range: short‑range (high bandwidth) for voice calls and file transfers, or long‑range (low power) for text and location updates. The switch happens seamlessly based on signal strength, battery level, and network congestion.

Send voice messages, share photos and videos, or have a live voice conversation, all without touching the internet. Your personal knowledge base (uploaded via the captive portal) can be shared with contacts, and multimedia files are stored locally on each device.

Standalone operation: Even without a MeshComm account, you can chat, share location, exchange meshCOIN, and access your own uploaded content. An account unlocks cloud backup, remote device management, bridging meshCOIN, and the proprietary meshCOMM Intranet (subscription required).
